Richard Nutt (3rd Dan) – Founder Member &
Richard has over 20 years experience in teaching Tae Kwon-Do in
Sutton Coldfield. Over the years he has gained a loyal following
with many new beginners referred through student recommendations. He
has successfully trained adults and juniors from beginner level
through to black belt.
He has first-hand experience of the tournament arena – competing
himself in the Tae Kwon-Do World Championships in 2000.
Currently Richard has three well-established schools in the Sutton
Coldfield area and supports a philosophy that focuses on safe, fun,
effective martial arts training for individuals and families. A
number of black-belt students from his other clubs regularly attend
beginner classes to ensure individuals receive as much personal
instruction as possible.
Richard is fully CRB – checked, first aid qualified and has
completed all of the relevant coaching courses approved by the
Amateur Martial Association (AMA).
Anna Tees-Nutt (3rd Dan) – Founder Member, Club
Secretary & Club Child Protection Officer
Anna is a highly experienced black belt who has trained in the art
of TKD for over 17 years and coached in Sutton Coldfield for more
than 5 years. Anna has a significant amount of experience in
coaching and maximising the potential of children and young adults.
In this respect she is the Club Child Protection Officer and
supports a philosophy of inclusion for all in a safe and supportive
In her role as Club Secretary Anna is responsible for the
administration of the organisation, including student licences,
tournaments, technical gradings, the annual summer camp, work in the
community and club social events.
Anna is fully CRB – checked, first aid qualified and has completed
all of the relevant coaching courses approved by the Amateur Martial
Andy Pugh (2nd Dan) – Instructor
Andy has a wide range of experience from his 26 years martial art
history which includes Tae Kwon-Do, Karate and Kick Boxing. After
choosing to focus on Tae Kwon Do, Andy achieved his 1st Dan in TKD
in 1993 with the TAGB. He later did all the belts from white to
black for a second time, training with his children at Sutton
Schools of Tae Kwon-Do.
Andy has directed his attentions towards instructing and is keen to
share the knowledge he has gained over the years. He has vast
experience in patterns, breaking and competition sparring and has
competed at many different levels throughout his journey, obtaining
a total of 16 Medals in TKD.
In his role as instructor Andy is responsible for assisting the
founder members as and when they require support either by taking
full lessons or in class as and when required.
Andy is fully CRB checked, first aid qualified, Child Protection
trained and has completed all of the relevant coaching courses
approved by the Amateur Martial Association (AMA)
