TKD Achievements:
Fitter, leaner,
meaner! Tougher too, maybe?
Pre-Sept 2006 - unfit and a little overweight. Watched a
lot of TV and did very little exercise.
Sept 2006 - started Tae Kwon Do training - one of my best
decisions.
Grade A- Pass in all but 2 of my gradings.
Picked up 2 gold medals at the 2008 Bytomic Tournament in
Windsor.
Student of the year 2008 (Streetly).
December 2010 - 1st Dan Black Belt - thought I'd mention
it again as I
feel that this is my greatest achievement in Tae Kwon Do.
Just as important, I have become fitter, achieved my target
weight and BMI,
made some new friends, and taken part in charity events
organized by the Sutton TKD Club.
Throughout my training I have tried my best to adhere to the
tenets of Tae
Kwon Do and to improve my techniques whenever I can. This has
served me well and I have managed to achieve the goals I set
myself at the start of my Tae Kwon Do training.
I have enjoyed my training with Sutton TKD Club. It has a fun
and friendly
atmosphere (you must attend the Summer TKD camp if you have
never been
to one) and the instructor is enthusiastic, approachable and
patient.
Future Aspiration: To achieve the 3rd Dan.
To assist the instructor and help coach junior students.
To beat Andy Pugh at sparring.
